Raven Software and Activision today released the v1.01 patch for Soldier of Fortune II: Double Helix. This patch is 12MB to grab and includes four new mp maps, the Demolition game mode, the new MP5SD weapon, and much more! Also a new 10MB dedicated Linux server is available to grab. (thanks Blues)

Activision released another batch of screenshots from the upcoming Soldier of Fortune 2 patch. The patch for Raven's First Person Shooter is to be expected somewhere mid next week. The screens show off some of the new maps that will be included. Njoy!

Activision just send us a note that Raven Software is in the process of cooking up an update patch for their recently released first-person shooter, "Soldier of Fortune II: Double Helix". Activision and Raven Software just released a new single player demo from Raven's realistic first person shooter, Soldier of Fortune II, that lets you play two levels (Columbian Jungle and Seaward Star) as mercenary-for-hire, John Mullins. We've been getting a lot of emails to the SoF2 MP test feedback account for people wishing to sign up to participate in the SoF2 MP Test this Thursday. This test will be available to the general public. You do NOT need to sign up for it.

Activision, Inc. and Raven Software are giving gamers a chance to test their grit with the announcement of the Soldier Of Fortune II: Double Helix multiplayer compatibility test. The test, which will initially be available exclusively from GameSpy's FilePlanet on April 18, 2002, gives gamers a chance to compete in one map across four different game modes including deathmatch, team deathmatch, elimination and infiltration.

Activision today sent out some of the first/awesome screen shots showing off their new SOF2 multiplayer random level generator. Gotta see it to believe it! Yummie!

I just noticed over at Blues that there is a new movie trailer of Soldier of Fortune II: Double Helix posted on PC.IGN.com. This new movie is 17.1 MB to grab and sports a minute of action-packed footage. Grab it here.

PC.IGN let us know that Raven's Soldier of Fortune II, the visceral, and surely to be controversial first-person shooter sequel, will be seeing a spring release because of the extra time required by the game's developer, Raven, to enhance and perfect the title's random mission generator and multiplayer component. The newly improved AI, graphics, and play style built into SoF II should prove to be well worth the wait for both fans of the original as well as the genre as a whole, whenever the hell it ends up shipping.
