Expanding the reach of Wolverine's razor sharp adamantium claws, Activision announced today that X-Men: Wolverine's Revenge is headed to the Nintendo Game Boy Advance and PC. With the addition of these two versions, the game will be released this spring on five platforms simultaneously with the upcoming X-Men feature film entitled "X2." X-Men: Wolverine's Revenge is also in development for the PlayStation2 computer entertainment system, the Xbox video game system from Microsoft and Nintendo GameCube and is the only action-adventure game that allows players to assume the role of Wolverine, the ultimate fighting X-Man.

Releasing simultaneously with the "X-Men 2" feature film, X-MEN: Wolverine's Revenge is the only PlayStation2, Xbox, Nintendo GameCube, Game Boy Advance and PC action-adventure that allows players to assume the role of Wolverine. After discovering that a deadly X-Virus has been activated within Wolverine's body, the player has 48 hours to acquire the antidote from the evil organization that not only gave them the disease, but also their mutation. After more than 300 comic books, an animated series and most recently a blockbuster feature film featuring the X-Men, Wolverine is the one character that grips the public’s attention more than any of the other X-Men,” states Larry Goldberg, executive vice president, Activision Worldwide Studios. “X-Men: Wolverine’s Revenge allows you to play as Wolverine, explore the enigmatic hero’s past and carve up a host of bad guys along the way. X-Men: Wolverine’s Revenge is expected to ship in the spring of 2003 and has not yet been rated by the ESRB.

Activision, Inc. is giving gamers something to sink their claws into with the announcement of X-MenTM: Wolverine’s Revenge for the PS2, Xbox and Nintendo GameCube. In this third-person action-adventure game, players take control of the ultimate fighting mutant and shred man and machine alike in an action-packed journey through the Marvel Universe. X-Men: Wolverine’s Revenge is expected to ship in the spring of 2003 and has not yet been rated by ELSPA.
