THQ Inc. and Nickelodeon today announced that "Jimmy Neutron: Boy Genius" for PlayStation2 and "The Adventures of Jimmy Neutron vs. Jimmy Negatron" for Game Boy Advance are now available at retail outlets nationwide. The PlayStation 2 version features Jimmy Neutron, star of Paramount Pictures and Nickelodeon Movies' Academy Award-nominated, digitally animated motion picture, "Jimmy Neutron: Boy Genius." The Game Boy Advance version is based on the new television series on Nickelodeon, "The Adventures of Jimmy Neutron: Boy Genius," Nickelodeon's highest rated TV premiere to date.

Computer and video game publisher Gathering of Developers, a subsidiary of Take-Two Interactive Software, Inc. and UK-based developer FireFly Studios Ltd today announced that "FireFly Studios' Stronghold: Crusader" for the PC has gone gold. "Stronghold: Crusader" is a dynamic "castle sim" set in a distant Arabian land that combines the finest aspects of the city builder and real-time strategy genres. The game is set to ship late September 2002.

Firefly Studios and Take Two Interactive have released a playable demo of Stronghold: Crusader, available for
download from Gigex (
here's a direct link if the Gigex client doesn't work for you). The 79.0 MB demo allows you to try out this isometric castle building strategy sequel, and it offers a tutorial and three skirmish levels. This is something i personally am looking forward to (

Microsoft Corp., along with its manufacturing partner Flextronics Corp., today announced plans to establish a manufacturing and assembly operation for the Xbox in China later this year. The companies also stated that the console manufacturing operation in Hungary would be relocated to Doumen, China. In addition to the Xbox operations at Flextronics' Guadalajara, Mexico, facility and the new operations in China, Microsoft will add another facility in Asia in the future.

Microsoft today announced that weekly replenishments are ensuring that strong demand for the Xbox video game system is met, benefiting retail, third-party publishers and gamers. Hmmm this sounds odd since "yesterday" some other sources say that the xbox is NOT selling as well as expected and as result we should expect a price drop... Microsoft Corp. announced today at the 2002 International Consumer Electronics Show (CES) that the Xbox™ video game system had one of the most successful launches in video game history. Microsoft sold 1.5 million units in North America between the Nov. 15 launch and the end of calendar year 2001. Disney Interactive is readying a "Tron" PC video game for a 2003 release, according to sources close to the project, who are hoping the theatrical sequel will tie in to the release. The first-person-perspective action game, being developed by Monolith, is expected to be the first teen-rated game for Disney's video game division.
