In a short interview with a BF 2142 fansite, DICE revealed that in order to learn about large scale issues, i.e. when 10 000’s of people playing at the same time, it plans to have a Battlefield 2142 open beta hoping to eliminate some of the problems EA encountered after previous launches. A community update on the EA website confirms that Battlefield 2142 is under development at DICE Stockholm, with an official announcement expected later this week. "we're currently hard at work developing Battlefield 2142, which is scheduled for release this Autumn.
