Originally banned in Australia for too much blood & violence, after Warner Bros. appealed the decision, F.E.A.R. 2 has now received a MA15+ rating, without cutting or making any changes to the game's content.

The recent Activision Vivendi merger freed up the F.E.A.R. license, which Monolith acquired, and while an official announcement will be made tomorrow, WBIE has confirmed to us that Project Origin is now official called F.E.A.R. 2, scheduled for Feb. 10, 2009.

Warner Bros. Interactive Entertainment announced that it has finally settled down on an official name for the F.E.A.R sequel, chosen by the fans, as they submitted entries and then voted for the winning submission. Project Origin, developed by Monolith Productions, will be released for the Xbox 360, PS3 and PC.
