To help voice its upcoming space shooter, Battlestar Galactica, Vivendi Universal Games announced today an all-star cast of actor. The talent signed to lend voices to the highly-anticipated game includes Dirk Benedict and Richard Hatch, who starred as hotshot Viper pilots Starbuck and Apollo in the original television series, as well as Dwight Schultz, known for his roles as 'Howling Mad' Murdock on the A-Team and Lieutenant Barclay on Star Trek: The Next Generation, and Kristanna Loken, who plays the T-X in the theatrical release, Terminator 3: Rise of the Machines.

Warthog plc Monday announced that it has been commissioned by Vivendi Universal Games (VU Games) to create a multi-platform video game based around the classic science fiction TV series, Battlestar Galactica. This is the first time that the franchise has appeared on a games console. The interactive game, for PS2 and Xbox, is a story-driven space action- adventure. The game will be released in Q3 2003.. CDV Software Entertainment UK has today revised the release dates for two of its hotly-tipped PC CD-ROM titles in order to add some crucial features and ensure the finished titles devastate the competition. Hungarian developer Mithis Games has joined CDV and Philos Labs to work on space strategy title Imperium Galactica III. Originally planned for release at the end of 2002, the extra development time will allow the team to add a new multiplayer mode - extending the shelf life of this already colossal game.

A demo version of Imperium Galactica 3 has initially been posted on an Hungarian website and has been spread throughout the web. This version has been specifically designed for the Matrox Parhelia graphics card. CDV did not give out this demo and advises to abstain from using it for covermount or other press related services, as it does not run properly on other graphic cards. They are currently working on a new version, which will be made available in the next few days. Nevertheless CDV wants to share the manual with everybody who already downloaded and commenced the demanding demo mission! Beat the enemy spaceships and finish your mission! Grab the manual here!

3DGamers today tossed up the long-promised playable demo (65MB) of Imperium Galactica III: Genesis. This demo offering you to try out this space strategy game that is in the works at Philos Entertainment. The demo contains one mission from the full game and "was especially developed for use with the new Matrox Parphelia graphics card, but also runs on any other modern 3D graphics accelerator board."

We managed to track down one of Philos Entertainment's developers working on the upcoming Space Sim/Strategy game "Imperium Galactica III: Genesis" A few impressive looking screens were also given up after we threatened to brake his pinky toe .. sucker!
