While there is no official announcement yet, Sega is working on a new installment in the Phantasy Star franchise. Phantasy Star 0 supports Nintendo WiFi multiplayer and a Pictochat type chat system that supports sending of stylus sketches to other players.

SEGA initially announced that Xbox Live Gold subscribers would have the chance to participate in a free Phantasy Star Universe multiplayer beta test starting today, which has unfortunately been delayed until Monday, and will last until Oct. 18.
