SpecForce developer Techland has today announced that the SP demo of its latest sci-fi FPP tactical shooter will be available for download on Thursday July 5th. 335 MB file containing one of eleven missions will be available in English, French, German and Polish language. The players will be able to use their own tactics and a bunch of modern military equipment including armored vehicles, stationary weapons, Power Armor and over 10 futuristic personal weapons. We will of course have it available on our fileserver net work the moment it is released.

Techland announced today that the english version of Chrome SpecForce has gone gold. The game has been sent for replication now. Official date of english version premiere will be revealed soon. Chrome SpecForce is a Sci-Fi shooter set in a far future. You become Bolt Logan, a member of the elite SpecForce military unit. Techland's sci-fi FPS "Chrome" received a prestigious Duke's Choice Award granted by the Java Leadership Team of Sun Microsystems. Among the Java Leadership Team are also Scott McNealy and James Gosling, the creators of Java language. The award is granted for the best and the most innovative product using the Java technology. Chrome has been chosen from many products and projects from the entire globe, acknowledging the high quality of the Techland's product. Duke's Choice Award for Chrome will be officially presented at the JavaOne conference in San Francisco, between June 28th and July 1st.

Techland has released a new MP patch for their sci-fi shooter Chrome. This upgrade brings your retail game to v1.2.0.0 and adds a few new maps, HUD changes, switchable positions in vehicles and a few other tweaks. Strategy First wants to express the fact this patch is NOT for North American versions of the game, that patch will come later. Techland gives us an early Christmas gift with their release of a Xmas demo for their sci-fi FPS Chrome. This MP demo features 10 of the 16 MP maps from the retail game, unfortunately it is only temporarely until January 10th 2004. This version is entirely compatible with the full version of the game, and allows you to connect to any full-version server, and host your own one.
