The only Final Fantasy that was never localized will finally reach North American shores! Using the features of the NDS to their fullest, Final Fantasy III features graphics that have been reworked and remodeled in 3D, while maintaining the mythical Final Fantasy look and feel.

Square Enix announced two new titles in the Final Fantasy Crystal Chronicles series – Final Fantasy Crystal Chronicles: Crystal Bearers for the Nintendo Wii, and Final Fantasy Crystal Chronicles: Ring of Fates for the Nintendo DS. Both titles are being developed to utilize Wii and NDS technology to their fullest. Additional details, including ship date and pricing, will be announced at a later date.

Ubisoft announced today that it will publish Final Fantasy XI for X360 and the Treasures of Aht Urhgan expansion pack for PS2/PC in Europe. While the expansion pack is only for the PS2 and PC, the Final Fantasy XI X360 version will include the original and all 3 expansions. Treasures of Aht Urhgan introduces new maps, monsters, and several new classes such as the much-anticipated Blue Mage.

"While there have been numerous rumors about Final Fantasy XIII, Square Enix has never released any information about the title. FF IV DS is a complete remake of the original 1991 SNES title (after which it appeared on the PSOne and GBA), featuring 3D graphics, redesigned characters, monsters, and cut scenes, as well as new elements, such as an "evolved" version of its active battle system.

Dissidia: Final Fantasy is an all-new title in the FF franchise, although it's not part of the compilation of Final Fantasy VIII or the Ivalice Alliance. Not a standard RPG, it's labeled a dramatic progressive action title, and Tetsuya Nomura, known for Kingdom Hearts, has signed on to be the game's character designer.
