Yesterday Sony sent out a media blast to the press touting that it had just won an Emmy for its SIXAXIS wireless controller in the Peripheral Development and Technogical Impact of Video Game Controllers category. Apparently Sony deceived the press en masse as it not only did NOT win an Emmy for the PS3 controller, but rather for its old Dual Shock analog controller, it is also sharing the Emmy with Nintendo for its D-Pad.

Tomorrow Sony will roll out a new firmware update for the PSP, which will give user access various browser enhancements such as Flash compatibility, and the ability to save audio content from RSS channels to a Memory Stick. More importantly the new update will allow PSP user to freely download demos off the internet, previously only available at PlayStation Spots, starting with the debut of a LocoRoco demo. Needless to say the new firmware will also plug holes in its overall security.

Oldblivion is a piece of software which allows pre DX9 graphics cards, such as Geforce 3/4, Radeon 9200, to run Bethesda's The Elder Scrolls IV: Oblivion. Oldblivion applies patches to make sure that Oblivion doesn't crash on older hardware which lacks certain new functionality and converts pixel/vertex shader 2.0 into pixel/vertex shader 1.1.
