Disney Interactive Studios
revealed that its Propaganda studio, known for Turok, is developing Pirates of the Caribbean: Armada of the Damned, an open-world action/RPG title for PS3, X360 and PC. Not linked to any motion picture, Armada of the Damned features an all-new story that takes place before the movies, putting the player in charge of a new pirate facing moral choices, character building, and a supernatural world as you work your way up the ranks. The game will have you explore hidden coves, mysterious inlets and intriguing islands, travel on both land and sea, with ship-to-ship vastly different from similar titles.

Take Two released its Q2 2009 results revealing that net revenue for Q2 2009 dropped from last year's $539.8 million (release period of GTA IV) to $229.7 million, driven by GTA IV DLC, MLB 2K9, GTA IV and GTA: Chinatown Wars (NDS), while last year's $98.2 million income dwindled to a $10.1 million net loss. More importantly Take-Two revealed it will be delaying Mafia II and Red Dead Redemption until the second half of fiscal 2010 (Nov. 1, 2009 - Apr. 30, 2010) to allow more development time, while BioShock 2 is tentatively scheduled for Oct. 30 in Europe and Nov. 3, 2009 in North America.
