As promised Nvidia has released new graphics drivers allowing owners of most GeForce 8, GeForce 9, and GeForce GTX 200-series cards to automatically use PhysX acceleration. Along with the drivers will come a PhysX software pack containing free UT 3 maps, the full version of NetDevil's Warmonger, a couple of Nvidia demos, and sneak peeks at Object Software's Metal Knight Zero and Nurien Software's Nurien social-networking service.

10Tacle filed for bankruptcy last week, its Belgian studio, which was working on Totems, had to shut down. In a last-ditch effort to finance itself, a spin-off was under development, Urban Race. Labeled as Burnout meets Assassin's Creed, Urban Race is a blend between Parkour — a fluid, efficient and acrobatic physical discipline —and aggressive and violent takedowns of opponents using the environment and handy weapons.

Ubisoft has filed a lawsuit against Optical Experts Manufacturing, the North Carolina-based company it had used to makes copies of Assassin's Creed on PC. OEM failed to follow its own security measures and allowed an employee to take home a copy of the game, who then uploaded it on the internet six weeks before its official release.
Ubisoft claims the leak was downloaded 700,000 times, costing the publisher millions of dollars, and is suing for breach of contract and negligence, asking for $10 million each.
