Guitar Hero: World Tour will feature guitar, vocals, drums, the ability to create your own songs (and upload them on GHTunes), four-player on/offline co-op, and an eight-player battle of the bands multiplayer mode (4vs4). The Smashing Pumpkins' new single G.L.O.W. will debut on World Tour, together with classic tracks 1979 and The Everlasting Gaze. In addition, singer, songwriter and lead guitarist Billy Corgan as an in-game character and will bring with him 1993's hit Today.

Resistance 2 will feature 8-player, story-driven online co-op separate from the regular single-player campaign, 60-player online PvP (Heavy, Special Ops, Medic classes) and more vehicles, including The Chameleon, a Stalker with full cloak. Sony announced that a worldwide competitive online multiplayer and co-operative beta will begin in early October.

Crystal Dynamics has made Tomb Raider Underworld more realistic with fluid movements due to motion capturing. Set a few years after the last game, it also features persistent destruction and lush locales across the globe. Lara gets muddy in the game, but with the weather system, rain will wash it away.

Mirror's Edge is a first-person action adventure game where you are Faith, a 'runner' framed for murder in a world where communication channels are highly monitored and the movement of human traffic is closely watched. While an earlier rumor by German Heise Online that the game would be a PS3 timed exclusive was quickly debunked, Sony confirmed that PS3 owners will be able to download exclusive content through the PlayStation Network, although details nor a release date were revealed.
