Microsoft announced that it will change the X360 warranty from 90 days to 1 year from the date of purchase in the US and Canada, on par with the standard 1-year X360 warranty that is available throughout most of the world. In keeping with its aggressive stance against cheating in World of Warcraft, Blizzard banned over 105,000 accounts were closed and 12 million gold was removed from the game economies in Europe, Korea, and the US in the month of November. The banned accounts were taking part in activities that violate the game's Terms of Use, including using third-party programs to farm gold and items, which severely impacts the economy of a realm and the overall game enjoyment for all players.
