With the news of the European PS3 launch delay, certain competitors might be eager to seize on the opportunity to push extra units over the holidays. Due to a delay in the mass production schedule of the blue laser diode, Sony Computer Entertainment Europe announced that it would postpone the PS3 launch in Europe, Russia, Middle East, Africa and Australasia from its original 17th November 2006 date, to March 2007. Launch dates for Japan and North America will remain the same, which are November 11th and November 17th respectively.

Vista Ultimate will set you back $399, while Vista Business will cost $299; Windows Vista Home Premium, $239; and Windows Vista Home Basic, $199. If you currently have Win XP, then you can get an upgrade to Ultimate for $259; Vista Business, $199; Vista Home Premium, $159; and Vista Home Basic for $99.
