"Eve Online: The Second Genesis" is a space trading / combat Massive Multiplayer Online Game (MMOG) for the PC. Developed by Crowd Control Production (CCP) of Reykjavik, Iceland, EVE ONLINE will allow upwards of 100,000 gamers to compete simultaneously across a full 3D galaxy which includes 5000 solar systems. We had a chance to meet up with the developers at a preview showing, had some hands on experience and snagged 30 some screens ... Njoy!

Winner Invited to Participate in AC2 Beta.. Microsoft Game Studios and Turbine Entertainment Software Corp. today announced that "Asheron's Call 2" fans will have the chance to participate in the making of their next massively multiplayer online role playing game (MMORPG) through the "Asheron's Call 2 Name That Monster Contest." Those who enter will be able to submit name proposals for one of the game's boss monsters. In addition to having their name selection edged into the lore of "Asheron's Call 2," the winner will receive a beta account. The crew at Turbine will judge and choose the winning name, which will be announced at a later date.

Ubi Soft® Entertainment, one of the world's leading videogame publishers, today announced a worldwide licensing deal with Viacom Consumer Products to publish games based on the upcoming motion picture release, The Sum Of All Fears. Paramount Pictures' The Sum of All Fears, is the latest Tom Clancy novel to grace the big screen, this time starring Ben Affleck as Jack Ryan. Ubi Soft plans to launch the PC version of the game in conjunction with the movie release, in May for U.S. and Canadian audiences and in the fall for European fans. Ubi Soft will also release the game on the new generation of consoles in the months following the movie's release.

The World Cyber Games is the biggest international game event, where the gamers selected through national preliminaries pit their skills against others for their countries. Similar to the Olympics, the World Cyber Games is a competition for the honor of countries, and citizenship of the pertinent country is required to participate in it. The 1st World Cyber Games will be held in Korea as was the World Cyber Game Challenge last year. Approximately 430 players from 37 countries will be there. Event Period starts: December 5, 2001.
