EA today announced that it is teaming up with Nettwerk Music Group to launch EA Recordings, a digital music distribution label that will bring EA's rich catalogue of wholly-owned musical compositions and remixes to Digital Service Providers (DSPs) worldwide. Crystal Sky Pictures has bought the rights to Konami's Castlevania videogame franchise and has tagged Paul W.S. Anderson (Alien vs. Predator, Res. Evil) to adapt and direct. The Castlevania movie will focus on the origins of Dracula and the uprising of the Belmont Clan, a vampire-slaying family who supposedly become humanity's last hope. Crystal Sky is currently in the post-production stage on Ghost Rider, starring Nicolas Cage and Eva Mendes. Castlevania production is slated to start in mid-2006; no casting has been announced yet.
