Xbox today announced that Tom Clancy’s Splinter Cell from Ubi Soft, a third-person stealth action title based on the Tom Clancy universe and one of the hottest games on show at E3 2002, is a console exclusive for the Xbox video game system from Microsoft in 2002. This "only" means no other consoles will get this game, does 'not' mean no PC version ;)

At its E3 press conference, Tecmo announced that it has entered into a deal whereby DreamWorks will produce a film based on Tecmo's popular survival-horror game "Fatal Frame." The agreement, which is still being finalized, gives DreamWorks the exclusive option to the live-action production rights for Tecmo's "Fatal Frame." In March of 2002, Tecmo shipped "Fatal Frame" for the PlayStation2 computer entertainment system to critical acclaim and rave customer reviews.

Simon & Schuster Interactive announced today the Company is publishing a second title in their popular "Outlaw" series of sports games exclusively for Xbox. Developed by Hypnotix Inc., "Outlaw Volleyball: Spike or Die" (Available: Winter 2002) will feature all the characters from "Outlaw Golf," and several new ones who will do battle on 16 different courts.

BAM! Entertainment today announced that it will spotlight several top European and Japanese PlayStation 2 titles this week during the Electronic Entertainment Expo (E3). KONAMI CORPORATION and Disney Interactive today announced an agreement to develop and market Disney All-Star Sports, a new video game series featuring Mickey and his pals. The series will feature both team sports and extreme sports games, starring popular Disney characters as athletic all-stars. Spider-man began casting its worldwide web this weekend as it annihilated all opening weekend records to take $114m in just three days in the US. The web-spinning hero crushed a long list of records in its historic debut, including Sony’s own pacesetter Men in Black and the current holder of the opening weekend record The Lost World. The five day $100m figure from both Star Wars Episode I and Harry Potter, became history as Spidey took over $100m in just three days.
