Developed by Genki under license from Sony Pictures Consumer Products and based on Sony Pictures Classics' Academy Award winning movie, Crouching Tiger, Hidden Dragon will be available for the PlayStation2 computer entertainment system. Ubi Soft China will also develop Crouching Tiger, Hidden Dragon for the GBA. In a related matter, HomeLAN has the word that there will be NO PC version, although it was originally planned.

Phantagram Interactive announced today that it will develop and publish a Massively Multiplayer Online Game (MMOG) based on "Crouching Tiger, Hidden Dragon." Set to release in Q4 of 2004, the game will shift the paradigm in MMOG as the game play will focus on fast-paced, Kung-Fu-style fighting with a deep storyline to immerse players in the world of the "Crouching Tiger, Hidden Dragon." "We are very excited to bring this unique property to life in the form of a MMOG that will redefine the genre," said Sangyoun Lee, Chairman and CEO of Phantagram Interactive. The company plans to launch a Web site with more details of the game in the coming months.

Lonely Cats Games is in a phase of finishing five-month work on Hidden and Dangerous Deluxe. This game is a remake of successful Hidden and Dangerous, combined with H&D: Fight For Freedom. Featuring 32 missions, game is being adapted to run on platforms, which weren’t present at time of its original release. This includes Windows 2000 and Windows XP, using new features of DirectX 8.1. The game now utilizes new generation of graphics hardware with improved Insanity3D engine, taking advantage of hardware vertex processing of modern 3D cards. Updated compatibility, bug fixes and speed-up, together with added support for Voice chat and GameSpy matchmaking service, dynamic shadows, and other improvements should attract player’s attention again.
