SimBin, known for GTR Racing, today unveiled its in-house developed next-gen (X360, PS3, PC) engine, Lizard. The new engine is tailored to handle racing games, but due to its module structure it will allow SimBin to adapt for any type of game, giving them the possibility to expand their portfolio with other genres, for example a First Person Shooter.

EU competition regulators have requested information from both Sony (Blue Ray), and Toshiba (HD DVD), to look into the commercial practices seeking to find out whether the companies are trying to impose their formats on movie studios and computer makers with exclusivity contracts. Today, Ubisoft and Techland announce that Call of Juarez will be coming to a next generation console in 2007, and that the PC version in the US will be held to coincide with the launch of the console version, while the release dates in Europe remain unchanged. Improvements to the US PC version are expected, based on optimization for Windows Vista. No further details are available at this time.

job listing on the official Treyarch website, known for Spider-Man 2 and currently working on Call of Duty 3, reveals that the Activision internal development studio is working on a next-gen James Bond title.
Last month Activision announced that it had signed a deal with MGM to take over the Bond license, formerly owned by EA. Treyarch is looking for a Gameplay Designer for their upcoming Bond title. Activision declined to give any further specifics on the matter, so details on scheduled release date or specific platforms will be announced later.

While Crytek's Cevat Yerli recently confirmed Crysis would be PC only,
