After months in development on a far and distant tropical isle Tropico 2: Pirate Cove is making its sailing the seven seas into stores. An addictive real time strategy, empire building game for the PC this swashbuckling adventure is a treasure that can be discovered in stores on 25th April 2003.

Take-Two Interactive Software, Inc. today announced that Tropico 2: Pirate Cove for the PC has shipped. Published by Take-Two's Gathering label and developed by San Francisco based Frog City Software, Inc. in association with Take-Two's Pop Top Software studio, Tropico 2: Pirate Cove is now available in stores nationwide and will be available in Europe on April 25th.

Take 2 today released a 1MB big patch for Tropico: Mucho Macho Edition. This new patch applies some new scenario's and fixes some minor bugs, at the same time there is a new 1.9MB map pack available for download that adds a dozen new maps to the Paradise Island expansion and the Mucho Macho Edition. Tropico – Patch V1.06 fixes a rare crash bug in software mode. (The bug would manifest itself in several ways, including an occasional crash when the game would end and switch to the final win or lose video.) You find them here.
