Ghost Recon Advanced Warfighter 2 features changing climate, improved AI, an advanced Cross-Com system, air strikes from jet fighters, new weapons and a new soldier class, the Medic. Ubisoft released a new, freely, downloadable content package, Throwback Pack 2, adding an all-new game mode and seven fan-favorite maps hand-selected from past Ghost Recon games. Red Octane has released the 4th downloadable content pack for GH 2 on Xbox Live Marketplace, offering 3 new songs (Wanna Be Sedated/The Ramones, Smoke on the Water/Deep Purple, and You've Got Another Thing Coming/Judas Priest) for 500 points ($6.25). So far more than 300,000 downloadable song packs were sold, and despite outrage from a lot of game fans, Red Octane's head of publishing Dusty Welch said it will not lower the price.

Harmonix, MTV Games, and rock icons Metallica announced a deal that will see key tracks from the thrashers' catalog available as digitally-distributed game levels for Rock Band, with "Enter Sandman" shipping with the game this holiday season.
