CDV Software Entertainment, a leading publisher and distributor of gaming software, is pleased to announce the official international "Blitzkrieg" tournament. "Blitzkrieg" for the PC is the latest in WWII real-time strategy that brings trench warfare, fierce tank battles, and aerial dog fights vividly to life. Organised and operated in cooperation with Turtle Entertainment, online tournaments will run in Germany, the United Kingdom, France and the United States. Gamespot has noticed that online retailers
EBGames and
GameStop have both updated their sites with listings for an Xbox version of Legend Entertainment's first-person shooter Unreal II, which was originally released on the PC earlier this year. While EBGames has no additional info, the GameStop listing features some info and a boxshot. Gamespot contacted an Atari representative for comment and they said that no official announcements have been made about Unreal II for the Xbox. To be continued...

Raven Shield Platoon describes a problem they've found with the newly released v1.3 patch for Raven Shield, as well as the workaround that will at least allow you to get out without rebooting should it happen to you. Here's the deal: The 1.3 patch has an error that causes servers to crash on the "deploying countdown". The crash has you (and everyone else in the server) sitting in the game staring at the countdown stuck on 1. This happens at random times. The only way to exit is to open console and type in either disconnect or quit.

The storyline follows the player through the major actions in the conflict, from search and destroy missions around Danang airbase to the Tet offensive and the counterattack on Hue. A cast of AI controlled characters accompanies the player through the missions, and he learns their value and mourns their loss as the war progresses.
