Simon & Schuster Interactive announced today additional details of its next installment in the Outlaw series of sports games that is being developed by New Jersey-based Hypnotix Inc. Vivendi has announced it is to bring the all-action adventures of James Cameron's Dark Angel to the PlayStation 2 and Xbox video game systems. The game has been developed by Radical Ent., is being published by Sierra Entertainment Inc., a studio of Vivendi Universal Games, and is due for release on 21st February, 2003 (already available in the US).

Batter up! EA takes fans out to the ballgame with the first season of MVP Baseball from EA SPORTS. Currently under development, MVP Baseball 2003 will be available next spring on the PlayStation 2 computer entertainment system and the Xbox video game system from Microsoft. A PC version will be released in summer 2003.

Wild Earth, which will be officially announced next month, is a departure from the sci-fi reputation of the studio. Wild Earth is set deep in Africa on the plains of the Serengeti, where the player takes the role of a photo-journalist on assignment for a fictional news magazine by the same name. Playboy Enterprises today announced a global licensing deal with ARUSH Entertainment in conjunction with Groove Games to create, market and distribute a set of interactive simulation video games. The first Playboy- branded game, which will be playable on multiple platforms including PC, Sony PlayStation 2 and Microsoft Xbox consoles, is targeted to be in stores in 2004.

Deck 13 is the newest addition to Octagon's client portfolio.
Octagon will be shopping the team's vehicular tactical action game Stealth Combat to publishers in North America, South America and Asia. Development for the PC title is complete... Players take on the role of a military special unit leader that has been assigned the task of averting nuclear conflict in threatened areas. Jeeps, tanks, choppers, amphibious units and even walking vehicles (Mechs) are all part of the armory. Players may assume the command of any vehicle or order units to carry out tasks independently. The player can often solve missions by careful exploration of the area, sneaking towards the enemy and a executing fast and effective attack. Other missions are more fire-intensive and the player must prove that he has the quickest finger on the trigger.
