NCsoft to Publish Realm Interactive's Trade Wars: Dark Millennium Action Oriented RPG Will Come to Life in a Unique Massively Multiplayer Online Experience. NCsoft Corporation, the world's largest independent online game company announced today that it will publish Trade Wars: Dark Millennium (working title) from Realm Interactive, LLC.

Electronic Arts today announced plans to release this September The Sims Unleashed, a new add-on disk to the top-selling PC game of all time, The Sims. As fans of The Sims know, there has always been something missing from their virtual neighborhoods ... pets. In The Sims Unleashed, players can now add furry friends to their Sims' families. An all new expanded neighborhood featuring parks, pet stores, cafes and markets will give the Sims and their new pets a variety of places to sniff, explore and meet their new neighbors.

Tecmo Ltd. maker of the best- selling "Dead or Alive'' series of video software, plans to release the latest version of the action game next year. The new game will be a sequel to "Dead or Alive 3,'' the martial arts fighting game released exclusively for Microsoft Corp.'s Xbox game console. Tecmo hasn't decided which console the sequel will be designed for as it is still in early development, President Junji Nakamura said in an interview. "Dead or Alive 3'' is the best-selling Xbox game in Japan and has sold more than 1 million copies worldwide, a level regarded as a blockbuster in the video-game industry. The company supplied "Dead or Alive 2'' for Sony Corp.'s PlayStation 2, and switched to Xbox because of that machine's better graphics. Read the rest here!

TDK Mediactive, Inc. a global publisher of interactive entertainment software, and Disney Interactive today announced a worldwide licensing agreement for two popular Disney properties coming to movie theaters. A Disney theme park icon, "Haunted Mansion," will make its way to the big screen in 2003. The theatrical release of "Haunted Mansion" will be supported by TDK Mediactive on most major video game platforms in time for Halloween and the all-important holiday selling season. "Pirates of the Caribbean," the namesake of one of the most popular theme park attractions, will hit theaters as a major motion picture and will debut on major video game platforms, as well. Specific release dates for the movie and the games will be confirmed at a later date.

Star Wars Galaxies: An Empire Divided will immerse players in a persistent online recreation of the Star Wars universe, as portrayed in the classic Star Wars film trilogy. Warthog have announced that they have signed the publishing rights to their original property X10 to Conspiracy Entertainment. Conspiracy has worked with Warthog before in creating games for The Warner Bros. Licenses Tiny Toons and Animaniacs , via Conspiracy’s joint venture with SWING! X10 is a first person shooter for PC, Xbox, GameCube and PlayStation2. X10 places a gamer as a soldier, who, under strict instructions, must explore the world of X10 and tackle anything the environment throws at them, including political intrigue, military factions and deadly predators.
