Planettribes reports that Tribes: Fast Attack has been cancelled. In its place is a free upgrade to Tribes 2, or for new players a new version of the game that costs $10. The two additions to Tribes 2 for this new release is the Comp mod and Team Rabbit. These new games have tweaked physics, putting them a little closer to Tribes 1, especially Team Rabbit.

Activision, Inc. announced today that the company has signed world-renowned skateboarder Bob Burnquist to an exclusive multi-year video game licensing and sponsorship agreement. Burnquist will continue to appear alongside Tony Hawk in Activision O2's flagship action sports franchise, Tony Hawk's Pro Skater, which was the single largest independent U.S. video game franchise during calendar 2001, according to NPD. Additionally, as an Activision-sponsored athlete, Burnquist's helmet and skateboard deck will feature Activision O2 logos beginning at the 2002 Summer Gravity Games on NBC.

Today we scored another bunch of screens from UbiSoft's upcoming expansion pack for the multi-award winning WWII combat flight simulation title, IL-2 Sturmovik. IL2-Sturmovik: The Forgotten Battles will include two new maps for Finland and Hungary, expanding the battlefield for both single and multiplayer modes. It will also feature more than 20 new single player missions and ten cooperative multiplayer missions.
