Although the Splinter Cell PC demo was embargoed until 6PM CET (12PM EST) it seems that the people at FilePlanet have jumped the gun and decided to beat the crowd. Either way, now that the cat is out of the bag, we decided there was no point in waiting any further and activated out links. A playable demo of Knight Rider: the Game is now available, offering the opportunity to step into the shoes of Michael Knight and the driver's seat of his KITT car. This demo contains one mission where "KITT has to follow the helicopter and keep it range in three levels of difficulty." (thanks Tiscali). This is one sad game, but for whoever feels some KITT love, check out the demo before you decide to buy it.
Global Star Software Announces 'Austin Powers Pinball'

Today Global Star Software has announced plans to release Austin Powers Pinball for the PC platform. Under license from New Line Cinema, and developed by Wildfire Studios, Austin Powers Pinball will feature a score of characters from the blockbuster Austin Powers feature films, including Dr. Evil, Vanessa Kensington, Felicity Shagwell, Fat Bastard, Mini-Me, the Fembots and many more.

'Impossible Creatures' Goes GOLD - Multiplayer Demo Available NOW

Microsoft Game Studios today announced that Impossible Creatures has gone gold and is scheduled to ship to stores in North America on January 7... After a limited-scale stress test, Relic Entertainment has now opened the multiplayer test of their imminent 3D real-time strategy game Impossible Creatures for everyone. This test version offers the tutorial, a skirmish mode, animal combiner and online play, along with 14 of the 51 creatures from the full game. Note that the test contains the EZ Pad digital rights management software (which will no longer be present in the final game, of course), and DirectX 8.2 (thanks 3DGamers). Octagon Teams Up With 'Disciples Of The Machine'

Octagon is seeking publishing partners in Asia for Battle Cards: MetalTech from Swedish developer Disciples of the Machine. MetalTech is a massively multiplayer online game that is a rare find in the MMOG genre as it features addictive gameplay involving trading cards. Players must strategically choose which cards to unleash from their own decks to conquer challengers' front lines of defense. Cards are divided into seven categories and function in terms of combat tactics, energy and special effects. The game is designed so that players can download the game client and practice free of charge. Advanced decks are available for purchase and new card packs are introduced each month. MetalTech also offers a spectator option in which players can scope out the competition in the heat of battle. MetalTech is scheduled to be completed Q2 2003.

Daydream Software AB, listed on Stockholm O-list, has signed a letter of intent to purchase Twine Media AB. The deal is dependent on an extraordinary general meeting of Daydream's shareholders. The proposal is that Daydream purchase 100 % of Twine. The board proposes the payment is made via an issue in kind of circa 6000 000 B-shares in Daydream Software AB at an extraordinary general meeting of shareholders. Daydream, via the purchase, gains access to Twine Medias global clients, new development opportunities and a network of the leading publishers in game and film
