This new patch v1.07 offers new multiplayer features, such as extending multiplayer to the strategic map as well as introducing a hot seat mode for multiplayer duels on a single computer. Update patch v.1.07 fixes a number of issues that were found in 1.06 dealing with the strategic multiplayer mode, including multiple problems with connections and the loading of previously saved games. The patch also addresses several issues that were discovered by players in both the single and multiplayer modes. Read more below for download links and full list of changes.

Blizzard Entertainment, a studio of the Games division of Vivendi Universal Publishing, today announced that Warcraft III: Reign of Chaos has surpassed 1 million units sold worldwide, according to EDI sell-through, internal company estimates and reports from key retail accounts around the world. More than 4.4 million units of the game have been shipped to retail to satisfy demand for Warcraft III, which is now the fastest-selling PC game ever, surpassing the records set in 2000 and 2001 by two other Blizzard titles, Diablo II and the expansion set, Diablo II: Lord of Destruction, respectively.

Desert Storm isn't even out yet and they're announcing the sequel. And another spin-off: Conflict: Missing Presumed Dead...
SCi Entertainment Group plc ("SCi") is pleased to announce a development agreement with Pivotal Games Ltd ("Pivotal") for two further products in the highly successful Conflict series. Conflict: Desert Storm is due to be published by SCi in September 2002 on Sony Playstation 2, Microsoft Xbox and PC. It will be published on the Nintendo Gamecube later in the autumn. Based on the events of the Gulf War, and designed in collaboration with ex-SAS NCO Cameron Spence, the product has attracted very strong previews and is eagerly anticipated by retailers and consumers.

Two years ago AMC Creation started to work with 'NO NAME WAR' (NNW) and its a PC RTS war game with an concept based on combining the RTS with RPG elements. According to player's options, the stress can be moved either on pure real time strategy or on RPG-influenced strategy. The title will be released in Q4 2002. Reaction mod for Quake 3. Its a 55MB upgrade and it has a new Capture the Briefcase mode among other things. Reaction Quake 3 (or simply known as "Reaction") is essentially a direct-as-possible port of Action Quake 2 (AQ2) to Quake 3: Arena.

Gamespot posted the
announcing of the expansion Heroes IV: The Gathering Storm. Here is a clip from it.
The expansion, which is scheduled for release in the third quarter of 2002, will feature more than 20 new single-player maps, six new campaigns, and four new creatures. In addition, it will contain 18 new artifacts, new campaign editor features, new heroes, and a new music track. The expansion will also include the Heroes of Might and Magic IV multiplayer update.

Earlier today Rainer grabbed down this Battlefield 1942 SinglePlayer Demo and tried it out, but he could not play it cuse it jumped back to desktop as soon as the actual game started... He tried it on a P4 1.7/Geforce4MX/WinXP, therefore we decided to test it on a Gforce2 64MB/WinXp/700Mhz computer and it worked out fine.. Anyway this vehicular
