Blues that Barking Dog Studios has released the final multiplayer demo of Global Operations, 
available for download from Electronic Arts' ftp server. This version 2.0 demo offers the Antarctica map (as opposed to the Quebec map in the beta demo) from their team-based tactical shooter, and it requires a 98.6 MB download. Also available is a 
version 2.0.2.3 upgrade (4.8 MB) for the dedicated Linux server.

Capcom Entertainment today announced the release of Resident Evil Gaiden, a new chapter in Capcom’s acclaimed Resident Evil series for the Game Boy Color system. Resident Evil Gaiden is a combination of the survival-horror and first person shooting genres featuring well-known characters Barry Burton and Leon Kennedy. Resident Evil Gaiden was developed for Capcom by Virgin Interactive and has been rated “T” for teens by the Entertainment Software Rating Board.

Player of Games tossed up a statement from Project Three Interactive and lead programmer Jim Malmros about the beta release of New World Order. Malmros: "We are aware there have been problems with the beta. Don't despair though, there are 5 main issues that cause 90% of the problems and we're all over them.

Blizzard has teamed up with one of the largest names in fantasy art to bring the dark and gothic world of Diablo to life. In “Final Stand”, Keith Parkinson has meticulously depicted five mortal heroes in a desperate struggle against the Lord of Terror, Diablo. This image has been carefully reproduced in a limited quantity, with each high-quality print signed and numbered by Parkinson. These prints are printed on 100 lb. cover stock with a paper size of 24" x 34".

Shadowbane Portal's Seira and Bubba released a very high quality E3 video journal which they compiled by filming several demos live from the booth's floor. The first portion of the journal takes place with Ashen Temper, who demonstrates swimming under water, performs some very cool spell effects, and even a takes a quick tour around the burning City of Nightbridge. It is during this portion of the video that you can start to visualize the gravity of a siege, and the amount of impact it will have on various factions and players communities. The E3 video is also accompanying by a more standard write up of their impressions.

Last week, at the Electronic Entertainment Expo, the Army unveiled "America's Army," a new game series that's meant to serve as a marketing and recruiting tool for the gaming generation. Recognizing that the target audience knows a quality title when it sees one (and ignores and ridicules poor quality efforts), the Army has assembled a team of proven developers and licensed one of the premier engines on the market to make its games. Quality doesn't come cheap, though. The budget for "America's Army" is in the $7 million range. (thanks
