While there is nothing sure in this world, this is especially true in the world of gaming. Release dates are notorious for often slipping. No one, from the waiting gamer to the publisher, likes the fact that a game is delayed but sometimes nothing can be done to prevent this occurrence. This time it's Shrapnel Games' highly anticipated first boardgame, Mark H. Walker's Lock 'N Load, that has been delayed. Originally slated for release on May 5th, the game is now expected to ship later in the month.

Sony Online Entertainment Inc. (SOE) announced today that its latest title for Pocket PC, EverQuest: War on Faydwer, will be available for download on April 28 for $19.99. This title marks the third installment of the on-going EverQuest saga on Pocket PC.

Walker's Lock 'N Load, has been endorsed by the National Vietnam Veterans Art Museum (NVVAM), located in Chicago, Illinois. NVVAM's collection began in the late '70s and has since grown to over one thousand works of art done by over 130 artists. 'MechAssault' is a futuristic sci-fi third-person shooter game that will allow gamers to command a huge walking tank known as a BattleMech. Sony Online Entertainment Inc. (SOE) announced today the release of EverQuest: The Legacy of Ykesha, the first digital extension for the best-selling, critically acclaimed EverQuest series. Breaking new ground by offering numerous technical advances and improvements to gameplay via digital download, The Legacy of Ykesha expands the world of Norrath for current EverQuest players by adding new adventure zones, quests, spells, items, a new playable character race and more. The new digital extension can be downloaded in-game for $21.99. Additionally, select retailers will receive a limited number of retail CDs for the benefit of narrowband customers in the coming weeks. Retail pricing will vary.

Microsoft today announced that the first batch of new downloadable content is now available for "MechAssault" via Xbox Live. In this first update, players will find two new multiplayer maps which support all five of the current gametypes and two agile new 'Mechs: Raven and Corvus. The new maps include Hell's Kitchen, a fiery volcanic world; and Stone Cold, a frigid snowy environment. These new items will greatly expand multiplayer play, and this update is available for no additional charge.

Zoo Tycoon fans can add to the allure of their parks as Microsoft Game Studios and developer Blue Fang today announced the availability of the Atlantis Theme Pack. The Pack contains the following Atlantean items: a gift shop, three undersea ruins, a new tank wall, two unique decorative fences, a statue, urn and archway. Blue Fang is also introducing a new animal to the Zoo Tycoon world - the barracuda. Both the Atlantis Theme Pack and the barracuda can be downloaded by visiting the official Zoo Tycoon site. The Pack requires players to either have Zoo Tycoon: Marine Mania or the 10.9 update to Zoo Tycoon, which can be downloaded here!

Rockstar Games is pleased to announce the return of the Rockstar Games Upload online media awards to celebrate independent artistic endeavors on the Internet. Judging for the contest and the awards ceremony took place entirely online, making for a completely digital experience.
