THQ today announced that Warhammer 40,000: Dawn of War: Winter Assault has reached the gold master stage of development, is entering manufacturing, and is scheduled for retail September 19, 2005.

Relic announced that on Thursday 8th September it will launch a new patch for Dawn of War through the auto-updater in the game. A few weeks back it was already hinted at during THQ's latest financial results conference that a expansion pack for Warhammer 40,000: Dawn of War would be coming up, and today GameSpot has a few additional details to back that up. Warhammer 40,000: Dawn of War - Winter Assault is scheduled for fall of 2005 and will include an all-new playable fifth race, the Imperial Guard.
