With the 2009 edition of the E3 Media & Business Summit a month away SEGA has revealed its lineup of titles it will have on display during the show. While there will surely be more announcements and titles revealed, SEGA will have Alpha Protocol, Bayonetta, Mario & Sonic at the Olympic Winter Games, Planet 51, The Conduit, and Vancouver 2010 on the show floor.

Edge Online reported that SEGA of America had to lay off several of its employees citing "economic recession, harsh retail landscape, and the reality of business challenges to profitability." Sega has now confirmed that "around 30 people" were laid off from Sega of America, though it offered no details about which divisions were affected by the cuts.

Last night SEGA gathered the press in San Francisco to announce its multi-title agreement with Platinum Games (former Capcom/Clover developers). While the fourth title remains a secret (by Resident Evil creator Shinji Mikami), MadWorld (Wii), Bayonetta (PS3/X360), and Infinite Line (NDS) were announced.

Earlier this month SEGA revealed that it was closing Rally Racing Revo developer Sega Racing Studio in Solihull, central England. Confirming rumors, Codemasters announced that it has reached an agreement with SEGA to take over the Sega Racing Studio.
