One of the most anticipated UT3 features was the possibility of allowing PS3 gamers to import new community content/mods on their consoles. Now that the game has shipped, it seems that the feature is not quite ready for prime time.
Epic programmer Josh Adams revealed that the PS3 mod tools are on hold due to legal/release issues. Once finished, it requires the latest PC patch and a PS3 Mod Tools patch that adds PS3 mod support to the PC version. Once "cooked," you will need to transfer them from PC to PS3 by a supported removable media type (memory card, USB drive, etc.).

Earlier this week, the Internet was on fiyah when Midway Austin's creative director Harvey Smith, lead designer of Ion Storm's Deus Ex titles, publicly criticized Blacksite: Area 51, for which he was lead designer, as being "f***ed up." Smith made the controversial statement at a Montreal International Game Summit lecture, blaming poor handling and pressure to share tech to get the title out before it was ready.
