Sony has rolled out its weekly PlayStation Store update with new content, and while some people were expecting a Haze demo, this is not the case. Europe gets a Stranglehold demo, while North America can try out demos for Blazing Angels 2 and the miniature racer, Toy Home. If that's not to your liking, there is a boatload of game and movie trailers available for download as well.

SCEA has released several playable demos for upcoming games on the PlayStation Network, EA's NFS ProStreet (906mb) and Sierra's sci-fi shooter TimeShift (479mb). The classic PsOne title Twisted Metal 2 is now playable on PSP/PS3, and there's a slow of downloladable content for The Godfather: Don’s Edition. Game trailer wise there is a ton of stuff to watch like Uncharted: Drake’s Fortune, Burnout, Beowulf, GT5 Prologue, and a few movie trailers as well.

Circuit City mailing reveals that the $599 price tag for the PS3 might drop by no less than $100 starting July 15, according to
the sales paper. Added to the earlier promotion of 5 free Blue-Ray movies with the purchase of any compatible player, it makes the PS3 very attractive at $499. The ad, however, did not reveal if this was a temporary promotion or if it is exclusive to Circuit City stores. Maybe Sony's E3 briefing will shed more details on the matter ...

Sony Computer Entertainment Korea's
website has confirmation of earlier rumors that the PS3 might be getting a bigger harddrive. An FCC filing back in March revealed that Sony was working on an 80GB version, including some tweaks to the Bluetooth feature. SCEK's website has the new version going on sale next month, June 16, for an estimated price of $ 557 / EUR 412. While the North American offices are still closed, Sony Europe said there are no release plans other than Korea.
