Microsoft Game Studios today announced the upcoming release of Phantom Dust, an Xbox exclusive third-person action game in which players battle opponents in real-time combat with an ever-growing arsenal of over 300 skills. The title is being developed internally by Microsoft Game Studios Japan and is currently scheduled for a Japanese release in 2004.

Phantom "the ghost who walks" and Mandrake "shadow of the vehme" are two GBA games, based on the omonimous Lee Falk's worldwide reknown comic heroes. In Phantom, the masked hero will have to face a great threat for the isle of Bangalla: a big business firm has set some research sites in the jungle to manage a series of genetic tests and pharmaceutical products synthesis. But some dangerous sabotages occur, and some workers of the company are murdered together with young guys of the "Bandar" tribe working as guides in the research sites.

Encore today announced that it has signed an exclusive co-publishing agreement with Phantagram Interactive, an international publisher and distributor of electronic entertainment software, to bring five new videogames and PC games to market. Under this agreement, Phantagram will deliver game content, while Encore will manage sales and distribution in North America. The first of these games will be Phantom Crash, a 3D mech action game scheduled for release by year end on the Xbox.
