'Kursk' (ALL) PC Date Moved To Coincide With Movie Release - Screens & Trailer

by Rainier on Oct. 1, 2018 @ 8:21 a.m. PDT

Kursk is a n adventure survival game that looks at the tragedy of the submarine ship from a new angle and will combine first-person action with a heavy focus on a carefully crafted story and engrossing gameplay.

Kursk will be the first proper adventure-documentary game in history. It will tell the tragic story of the submarine that sank to the bottom of the Barents Sea on August 12, 2000 with all 118 crew members on board. The exact cause of the disaster still remains unknown. The plot of the game will be mostly based on facts, thanks to which players will have the opportunity to learn more about the dramatic story of the vessel.

The main mechanics and aspects of the game include internal policies, the economy, diplomacy, a unique event system, warfare, espionage, and engaging missions. The results of the player’s decisions will be strongly affected by the moral choices they make during gameplay.

Previously scheduled for October 11, 2018, Jujubee informs that the launch date of Kursk for PC has been synchronized with the premiere of the movie with the same title (starring Colin Firth) on November 7, 2018.

As a reminder, the game (including the Kengir DLC) is coming to other hardware platforms in the first half of 2019.

Kursk will be available to the public at this year's Game Industry Conference which takes place alongside the Poznan Game Arena (Poland). Jujubee will be present with its own booth where you will find a playable version of the game. Additionally the company is one of the main sponsors of two symphonic Epic Game Music live concerts that will be held on October 12, 2018. It will be a unique event not only for music lovers, but also for Kursk fans. Its participants will have the opportunity to listen to the live performance of the main Kursk OST piece, written by the acclaimed composer Mikołaj Stroiński.

Kursk is coming to PC on November 7, 2018, with the consoles version to be available in the first half of 2019.
