'Bus Simulator 18' (ALL) Update Adds Free Roaming, Sandbox Modes

by Rainier on Dec. 17, 2018 @ 9:24 a.m. PST

With extensive modding opportunities and a 2.5x bigger game world compared to its predecessor, Bus Simulator 18 will deliver the most complete Bus Simulator experience ever.

In addition to buses by Daimler Buses and MAN as well as a more the twice as large game world compared to its predecessor, players of Bus Simulator 18 can already look forward to even more possibilities in regards to bus and city modding as well as a synchronous multiplayer mode.

Bus Simulator 18 is being developed in Unreal Engine 4, which means even more and better creative options in regards to the game’s graphics for stillalive studios.

Further interesting features of Bus Simulator 18 include a day/night cycle as well as an enhanced progression system.

With their sixth update for the popular Bus Simulator 18 the team of stillalive studios enhances the game with two new exciting game modes. The Free Roaming drive mode offers players the opportunity to freely cruise around Seaside Valley and explore the different city districts without sticking to routes and timetables.

The second great improvement is the Sandbox Mode – one of the most fervent wishes of the Bus Simulator 18 community. In this new game mode, virtual bus drivers will be able to access all city districts and buses right at the start of a new game without having to unlock them by completing a number of missions first. This game mode not only offers more freedom for experienced bus drivers to create their very own public transport company, but also the option to freely test the modding of buses and other community created content.

Players already in possession of Bus Simulator 18 are now able to download the Free Roaming & Sandbox Mode Update from Steam at no further cost.

Another addition to the main game is the recently released Mercedes-Benz Interior Pack 1 in form of a DLC on PC (Steam). This DLC includes brand new and authentic color patterns for seats as well as classy floor designs, which will help to further individualize the game’s Merdedes-Benz Citaro buses. The Mercedes-Benz Interior Pack 1 DLC is available at a price of EUR 1.99 / 2.99 USD / GBP 1.79 (RRP).

In comparison to its predecessor, Bus Simulator 16, Bus Simulator 18 comes with a brand-new, freely driveable map that is 2.5 times as large as the one of Bus Simulator 16 and will offer an even greater number of interesting city districts. Another new feature that will delight Bus Simulator fans: In addition to the originally licensed city buses by famous makers such as Mercedes Benz and MAN, Bus Simulator 18 will for the first time also include buses by the manufacturer IVECO.

Players will also find that many wishes coming from the game’s faithful community have been implemented in the newest version of the game. This includes the options to drive by day and night as well as an improved progression system and significantly expanded modding options, which now allow not only for the addition of the player’s own bus models but also the creation of whole new cities. To top it all off, Bus Simulator 18 now comes with a synchronous multiplayer mode where up to four players will be able to play together at the same time.

Thanks to the advanced modding support in Bus Simulator 18 players will not only be able to create and implement new buses but also whole new cities!

Currently available on PC (Steam) for 29.99 Euro, 34.99 USD, 26.99 GBP (RRP)., Bus Simulator 18 will be coming to Xbox One and PS4 in 2019.
