'G-Rebels' Steam Early Access Date Set For Later This Month - Screens

by Rainier on July 6, 2026 @ 2:19 p.m. PDT

G-Rebels lets you take to the skies in a dystopian open world full of intrigue, free exploration, dangerous missions and breathtaking flight maneuvers.

G-Rebels is an action-packed combat flight sim set in a dystopian world in the year 2684. Spanning a fully explorable open world of more than 12,000 square kilometers, G-Rebels‘ will take you across neon metropolises, remote outposts, advanced research facilities, industrial factories, and more. Follow the main story where you’re part of an elite force fighting organized crime, or take on side quests as a bounty hunter, racing pilot, bodyguard, mercenary, pirate, miner, or hunter for lost artifacts.

Upgrade and customize your ship, an ultra-modern Skyblade, by equipping new engines, weapons, shields, AI-controlled drones, multi-warhead missiles or stealth devices. Create your own approach to combat, as you can fight other gliders the old-fashioned way or hack into the enemies’ control unit to hijack use of their Skyblades.

Utilizing the power of Unreal Engine 5, G-Rebels will feature changing weather conditions with volumetric clouds, dynamic sun and moon positions with realistic day-night cycles, real-time simulation of thousands of flying objects in the world, and complete world streaming - i.e. no loading screens!

Developer Reakktor Studios and publisher Senatis announced that G-Rebels is coming to Steam Early Access on July 20, 2026.

“The launch of Early Access marks an important milestone for us. The demo has provided us with a wealth of valuable feedback, and we're delighted to kick off the Early Access phase with substantially more content and a dedicated VR mode. Together with our community, we will continue to expand, refine, and polish the game throughout Early Access,” said Martin Schwiezer of Reakktor Studios.

Here’s what players can expect at the Early Access launch

Native VR mode: For the first time, G-Rebels can be experienced in VR. With a virtual reality headset, players take a seat right in the cockpit and maneuver from a first-person perspective over the rooftops of Daevos, one of four intricately detailed megacities in G-Rebels.

Up to 20 selected missions: The EA version includes the entire first chapter, which consists of nine main missions and marks the beginning of a storyline full of twists and intrigues. In addition, there are ten side missions and a hand-picked selection of race challenges, bounty hunting, and more. The variety of missions ranges from escort missions, assassination assignments, smuggling runs, and outpost battles to patrols and skirmishes around massive cargo ships.

New areas: In addition to the central metropolis of Daevos, the Early Access version opens up additional, vast areas of the Atlas Archipelago for the first time and offers a glimpse of other megacities.

“State of the art” technology: A gigantic, seamless open world, completely free of loading screens. G-Rebels combines modern world streaming with dynamic weather, volumetric clouds, and realistic day/night cycles. Together with authentic 3D surround sound, players experience the world of G-Rebels like never before.
