2KGames has released a new patch for Firefly's 3D castle-sim and siege-warfare RTS Stronghold 2. This patch brings your US/Euro retail game to v1.4 and fixes various bugs, crashes, and tweaks the ballistae, while adding real-time shadows, bloom, anisotropic filtering and anti-aliasing.

Mercury Games announces Matchstick Puzzle by DS, a classic puzzle game which requires lateral thinking and includes lots of brain teasing conundrums. The aim of the game is to answer the questions by moving or rotating matchsticks.

Meridian4 announced that it has signed Black Element Software's single-player oriented sci-fi FPS, featuring a varied balance of combat and more technical activities such as hacking and remotely controlling robotic devices.

While Level 5 are still working on bringing the newest Dragon Quest IX title the the NDS, several of its prequels, DQ IV, V and VI to be precise, are also getting converted to the NDS, with full 3D graphics. Scheduled for release this winter in Japan, no word whether Square Enix will be bringing it to Europe and/or North America.
