Value Price Publisher Metro 3D and games developer Data Design Interactive have been very busy over the last few months; both companies are now finally ready to unveil some high-profile changes. They would initially like to present a whole host of titles due for release this year for Playstation2, PSP, PC and Xbox formats.

'Ghost Recon Advanced Warfighter' (X360/PC) Demo Coming

Ubisoft will release a Ghost Recon Advanced Warfighter demo through Xbox Live Marketplace approximately one week before the game's official launch, according to Major Nelson's latest podcast. Since the game is schedule to be in stores March 9th, this means the demo should arrive in about two weeks.

'GTA: Liberty City Stories' (PS2) Gets European Release Date

GTA: Liberty City Stories takes place 3 years before GTA 3 and our main character Toni Cipriani has returned from laying low for the past 4 years after taking out a rival mob boss for the Leone crime family. Having welcomed him back with open arms, the Don Salvatore Leone is putting Toni to back work under the watchful eye of Vincenzo Cilli, one of his most trusted capo’s. Take Two announced GTA:LCS will get its PS2 release on April 28, 2006.

Activision Axes 150 Employees

Citing disappointing holiday sales revealed in its financial statement last week, Activision is handing pinkslips to about 150 people (7% of its workforce). Company spokesman Ashley Dyer said cuts were across the board, including various people at development studios. The layoffs had to happen in order to realign the company's operations for the next two years. Whether this will delay any of the current titles was not disclosed, but some teams will be trimmed down, so who knows ...

While it is currently still listed as scheduled for April 2006, a "change of pre-order date" email from Best Buy's customer care service obtained by Joystiq reveals that Nintendo's Legend of Zelda: The Twilight Princess might be pushed back to November 1st, 2006. Officially Nintendo does not comment on speculations and has not narrowed any sort of release date down beyond a vague "2006."

Activision Confirms Transformers License
