This morning UK publisher SCi made a brief statement that it "does not believe that it is in the company's or the shareholders' interests to prolong talks any further." This means that it has called off negotiations with whoever was in the running up until last week to take over SCi, who themselves had recently taken over ailing UK publisher Eidos. When the news broke SCi's stocks dropped considerably but by the end of business day prices rallied to close slightly above starting price that same morning.

The latest issue of Japanese magazine Famitsu reveals that Namco is working on a Tekken port for the PSP. Tekken: Dark Resurrection is based on the new Tekken 5 arcade game, including all of its 35 locations and characters. Eddy Gordo and Armor King are confirmed amongst the 30 or so playable fighters, and also various modes such as Time Attack, Practice and mini-games will be included. Tekken on the PSP will also support AdHoc multiplayer, and is scheduled for release in Japan this summer.

A statement sent to fan site RPGVault by Smiling Gator Productions' Matt Simmons reveals that the once cancelled Source engine powered MMO-FPS Twilight War: After the Fall has been revived. Smiling Gator has concluded an agreement to license the Twilight War concept and sub-license Valve's Source engine to a new partner company, General Computers, to fund and continue development on Smiling Gator's behalf. General Computers is an IT based in North America and China.
