A free-flowing game during which players can assume the role of multiple characters and experience the game from multiple viewpoints, Indigo Prophecy allows players' actions to affect the plot by offering a scenario driven interactive experience. Through motion picture techniques such as actor direction, multi-camera views, motion tracking and a contextual music score, players find themselves intimately immersed in the game. "PC demos will also be unleashed in different languages in selected magazines this September, later via Internet."

While earlier this month it came to light that GSC Game World's oft delayed FPS S.T.A.L.K.E.R.: Shadow of Chernobyl will not be making any appearance this year, a specific new time frame was not announced. Through a release schedule for THQ France it has now been revealed we could possibly have to wait more than a year, as it is tentatively listed for autumn 2006. In the meantime, three new screens to, hardly, make up for it...

UPDATE : THQ France admitted making a mistake in their release schedule, which is now under revision, and informed us that STALKER is scheduled for, somewhere in, 2006.

NovaLogic today has announced that its PS2/Xbox tactical shooter Delta Force: Black Hawk Down has gone gold. Rated "T" for teen by the ESRB, the game features an expansive single player campaign and breaks new ground in the multiplayer arena by allowing up to 50 players to battle over Xbox Live, or up to 32 players on PS2 via GameSpy.

Sony Drops Playstation 3 Ethernet Ports

Japanese magazine Nikkei Electronics quotes an interview with SCE head honcho Ken Kutaragi that its next-gen PS3 console will no longer feature the previously announced three Gigabit Ethernet ports, allowing it to act as a home network router. The reason cited was that it would have made the console too expensive. Instead, people will have to resort to their own in-house routers to accommodate networking.
