id Software has released a beta patch for their recently released FPS DOOM 3. This update brings your retail game to v1.05 and addresses stability issues, big fixes, widescreens support and various more. Since this is still a "beta" patch, there is no additional support from id Software nor Activision (thanks Shacknews). A 3 level demo is expected in the next few days according to id's Robert Duffy. 'Second Sight' Coming To PC?

Unless it's a serious typo, Atari Australia's website reveals that Free Radical Design's stealth action Second Sight will also be coming to the PC. Having gone gold and just shipped in the UK, it's expected to ship on PS2, Xbox and GameCube in North America on September 21.
