Empire Interactive has released a new patch for their recently released arcade racing game, Starsky and Hutch. This upgrade brings your retail copy to v1.32 but no specific details as to what this actually fixes/upgrades are available at this point, although the FAQ mentions you need to download the patch to get the Microsoft Forcefeed Back Steering Wheel to work in the game. Vivendi Universal Games announced today the in-game music lineup for the upcoming action horror game, Hunter: The Reckoning Wayward for the PlayStation2. Hollywood Records recording artist Forty Foot Echo has contributed two songs from its upcoming, self-titled album due out in stores this August. Electronic Arts today announced that The Sims Bustin' Out is in development for the GBA at the company's Walnut Creek-based Maxis studio in conjunction with Griptonite Games, an Amaze Entertainment Studio. For the first time, Game Boy Advance players will be able to experience the zany and unpredictable world of The Sims. Players will be able to take direct control of their Sim to explore all-new Game Boy Advance exclusive locations as they work their way from rags to riches. The Sims Bustin' Out GBA version will support connectivity with the GameCube and is scheduled for simultaneous release with The Sims Bustin' Out on all current-generation console platforms in December 2003.

Activision Inc. filed a breach of contract suit alleging media giant Viacom Inc. isn't adequately exploiting the Star Trek franchise, thereby diminishing the value of the video game developer's license to produce Star Trek-themed games. In 1998, Activision entered a 10-year licensing arrangement with Viacom that gave it exclusive rights to produce Star Trek titles across all gaming platforms.
