Preparing the market for the upcoming holiday selling season, industry leader Sony Computer Entertainment America Inc. today announced exciting new consumer pricing options for the PlayStation2 computer entertainment system.

Atari will bring Terminator 3: War of the Machines, a singleplayer and online multiplayer first person shooter set in the ravaged battlefields of the Tech Com-versus-SkyNet conflict from the Terminator world, to personal computer this winter. Currently in development by Hungary-based Clever's Games, Terminator 3: War of the Machines will allow up to 32 players to face off online as either technologically-advanced SkyNet Terminators or battle-hardened Tech Com Special Forces in an epic multiplayer struggle for supremacy... Sony Online Entertainment Inc. (SOE) announced today that it is finalizing plans to create SOEGames.net , an online game matching service that will allow gamers to find each other and battle it out across the Internet. The first games to take advantage of SOEGames.net will be Lords of EverQuest and Champions of Norrath, two upcoming Sony Online Entertainment titles. SOEGames.net will also be the first game matching system designed to host both console and PC games.

Sony Online Entertainment Inc. today announced development agreements with Lodestone Games LLC and SolWorks to create original gaming content to be published by SOE. Lodestone and SolWorks will be creating two independent, as-yet unannounced games; further product information will be revealed at a later date.

Sony Online Entertainment Inc. announced that it has reached Beta status for EverQuest Online Adventures: Frontiers, with more than 20,000 excited testers being allowed a sneak peek into the changes to the online world. Developed exclusively for the PlayStation2, EverQuest Online Adventures: Frontiers is scheduled to ship to retail stores this November. Encore today announced that it has signed an exclusive, worldwide agreement with Victory Simulations to publish Redline: Xtreme Air Racing 2, a unique combination of flight sim and combat air racing for PCs. Jaleco just send out word that their indoor driving title Micro Mayhem has been pushed back until Q1 2004. The decision was based largely on Jaleco's desire to continue developing the online component of the game which is going to take more time. It is still planned to appear on next-gen consoles and PC in a simultaneous release with North America and Europe, but a specific release date is yet to be set. To be Continued...
