Ubi Soft has formed local marketing partnerships with Microsoft throughout Europe and Australia to promote the November 28 European release of Tom Clancy's Splinter Cell for the Xbox video game system from Microsoft. While marketing actions vary from country to country, the overall strategy is to introduce Splinter Cell as a new huge franchise within the Tom Clancy brand and to position it as a game of choice for Xbox. Microsoft and Ubi Soft have made a joint investment to ensure Splinter Cell is a success this Christmas.

Electronic Arts announced today that it has shipped Medal of Honor Allied Assault Spearhead, the new expansion pack for the highly acclaimed WWII PC action title, Medal of Honor Allied Assault. The Medal of Honor Allied Assault Spearhead expansion pack has owners of Medal of Honor Allied Assault assuming the role of Sergeant Jack Barnes while continuing their fight from behind enemy lines in Normandy on D-Day to the Battle of the Bulge to the Fall of Berlin and the defeat of the thousand year Reich. Electronic Arts announced today that it has shipped Shox for the PlayStation 2 computer entertainment system. Racing rookies as well as seasoned speed demons will hit the circuit to compete in amped-up arcade-style off-road car racing. Jumping into one of 24 licensed high voltage vehicles from Porsche, BMW, Subaru, Toyota, Ford, and other manufacturers, players race through three-lap circuits on dirt, snow, and asphalt. Sliding through dusty roads, slipping on ice, and shredding through tree-lined dirt trails, it's crowded on the open road, as six competing cars try to muscle into prime position, wreaking havoc along the way. Additionally, up to 4 players can compete for top rankings in a multiplayer split-screen mode. Shox for the PlayStation 2 carries an "E" (Everyone) rating from the ESRB and is priced at US MSRP $49.99. Shox was developed by Electronic Arts UK.
