Capcom today announced Steel Battalion, an exciting battle-mech simulator for the Xbox. Using the most elaborate controller interface ever created, players take a seat inside the cockpit of a mechanized VT (Vertical Tank) and enter into futuristic military warfare. Capcom also announced plans to bring its number one arcade hit, Marvel vs. Capcom 2 to the PS2 and the this fall. Delivering absolute arcade perfection in classic Capcom style, Marvel vs. Capcom 2 pits Capcom’s legendary characters and Marvel’s world famous super heroes against each other for dream matches of epic proportions.

Eidos Interactive, a leading developer and publisher of interactive entertainment, today announced that DX2: Invisible War is currently in development for the Xbox. This follow-up release to Deus Ex is being developed by Ion Storm, creators of the original game, and is slated to arrive in stores in 2003. Namco Hometek Inc.'s highly anticipated Dead to Rights is scheduled to launch for the Xbox video game system from Microsoft in the U.S. in late July. Inspired by Hong Kong action movies, classic film noir style and hardboiled detective novels, Dead To Rights stars action noir hero, Jack Slate, a good cop in a bad city, forced to be a fugitive as he fights for his life and searches for his father's killers.

Dirt Track Racing 2 captures the excitement and close, frantic action of stock car racing. Microsoft highlighted its next wave of highly anticipated titles for the Xbox today to a packed house of journalists and retailers from around the world, as well as cheering game fans, who rattled the rafters in the historic Orpheum Theater. With blockbuster games such as "Star Wars: Knights of the Old Republic " (LucasArts Entertainment Company), "Brute Force" (Microsoft Game Studios), "NFL Fever 2003" (Microsoft Game Studios), "Unreal Championship" (Infogrames) and "Panzer Dragoon ORTA" (SEGA of America, Inc.), Microsoft previewed its top Xbox games that will be shown at this week’s E3 and available to game fans this holiday season. Today at the Electronic Entertainment Expo (E3), Microsoft Corp. became the first video game company ever to announce a comprehensive online game service fully dedicated to fast-action, always-connected broadband gaming experiences. The online console gaming service, named Xbox Live, launches in North America, Japan and Europe this fall for the Xbox video game system and ramps up with consumer beta programs starting this summer.

Electronic Arts today announced that The Sims is in development for the PS2, at the company's Walnut Creek-based Maxis studio in conjunction with Austin-based, Edge of Reality, Ltd. Players will now be able to create and control their Sims like never before with all new level-based game play, two-player mode, and dynamic 3D graphics. The #1 PC game of all time will make its console debut this fall and will be unveiled to industry insiders on May 22nd at the Electronic Entertainment Exposition in Los Angeles.

As a prelude to the launch of the highly-anticipated second season of Witchblade on June 16, Turner Network Television (TNT) will offer a sneak peek of "Witchblade: The Game" May 22-24 at the E3 Expo 2002, Room 501C, West Hall, Level 2, in the Los Angeles Convention Center.
