Def Jam VENDETTA marks the first interactive entertainment title from EA and Def Jam Records, and will fully integrate a powerhouse roster of Def Jam artists into the storyline, including new hit songs from the artists, as well as classic Def Jam tracks. Each artist has contributed one original introduction and victory sequence incorporating their own voice and motion. Artists participating in the game include DMX, Ludacris, Method Man, Redman, NORE, Scarface, Ghostface Killah, Capone, Keith Murray and WC. Pterodon and Illusion Softworks have issued a patch for the recent multiplayer demo of Vietcong, their upcoming team-based tactical shooter. The patch offers over two dozen gameplay tweaks, bug fixes, and other changes as detailed in the accompanying patch info, but brings the game to version 0.97 which is not compatible with the original v0.96 demo.

InterActive Vision announced the development of Pacific Warriors II, the follow-up to its World War II air combat action PC game (aka in North America as Beyond Pearl Harbor: Pacific Warriors). Pacific Warriors II will offer the same instant-action gameplay formula that the first game offered, along with the ability to play as either the US or the Japanese. Other new features include a pilot 1st person view in addition to the external 3rd person views, a choice of plane before each mission, accurate weapons and mission themes, animated ground troops and vehicles, American and Japanese-style in-game commentary and much more. ValuSoft will publish the game in the US. The game is scheduled for gold status in August 2003 (thanks gamespydaily).

Today GameDale are happy to officially announce their new game project - WASTED: Hostile Mechanoids Zone. Genre of the game could be best described as 3D First Person Arcade, because the main point of the game is non-stop action, without any storyline mysteries and unanswered questions (well, almost... :), no switches to activate, no keys to find, no doors to open, no stupid riddles to solve, and no hero characteristics to improve. Flat-Out is an adrenaline-inducing racing game with an exciting story line, spectacular crashes and a not-too-serious attitude in the best movie-like fashion. The thrill and terror of racing light, cheap and often very dented cars in constant close proximity and contact with other cars brings out the white-knuckled racing spirit as the player faces rapidly changing situations. In third-person mode, the player can rummage around the pit area eyeing out competitor's cars, stop by at a bar for the latest gossip, fix and tune his car and interact with the other in-game characters, carrying out short missions related to the story behind the player's character.
