Gio Gio's Bizarre Adventure Comes To PS2

Capcom Eurosoft today confirmed its intention to bring the popular Japanese comic book, Gio Gio's Bizarre Adventure to the PlayStation 2 computer entertainment system with Gio Gio's Bizarre Adventure. Based on the massively popular Japanese comic book series by Hirohiko Araki, Gio Gio's Bizarre Adventure uses the graphical technique of 'cell-shading' to effectively bring the comic book alive. This latest instalment not only brings huge visual advancements to the series, but to the action game arena as well. Through enhanced game play mechanics, distinctive challenges and a stylistic 3-D art style, Capcom has created a new face in action games. Gio Gio's Bizarre Adventure is scheduled for a European this December. Screens and features below!

Resident Evil 0 (GC) - New Screens & Features

Capcom Eurosoft today confirmed that it plans to release Resident Evil 0 (Zero) for the Nintendo GameCube in early 2003. Resident Evil 0 is the prequel to Resident Evil, the game that started it all. Utilising the GameCube's advanced processing power, Resident Evil 0 promises to amaze players with flawless animation, living environments and the best graphics in a video game ever! Created by Shinji Mikami, Capcom's master of horror, the Resident Evil series is now exclusive to Nintendo's GameCube system and ready to scare fans around the world. The Resident Evil series has sold more than 20 million copies since its introduction in 1996. "Early 2003" is the release date, so you may have to reconfigure your letter to Santa slightly.

'Bandits' - New Screens

GRIN has been developing BANDITS behind closed doors for over a year and PAN Vision plan to release the action game BANDITS in October 2002. The player is thrown into a Mad Max-like environment where the survival of the fittest is decided by vehicle combat. A story driven action game where the handling of gears and guns decides your fate. Check out 15 grabs of that car combat game that was being played across three screens at ECTS.

Namco Deal (XB/NGC)

Electronic Arts the world’s leading interactive entertainment software company, today officially announced plans to publish a number of top franchises for Namco Limited on the NINTENDO GAMECUBE and the Xbox video game system from Microsoft across PAL territories. Amongst the titles included in the agreement are the eagerly awaited Dead to Rights exclusive to the Xbox platform and the return of the successful Pac-Man and Soul Calibur franchises. The first games are to be released for the upcoming Christmas season.

UT2003 Comes With Maya Personal Learning Edition

Alias|Wavefront, an SGI company, today announced that its Maya Personal Learning Edition software will be distributed with the highly-anticipated PC game, Unreal Tournament 2003 (UT2003), developed by Digital Extremes in collaboration with Epic Games, Inc. and distributed by Infogrames, Inc. Each UT2003 box will contain a copy of Maya Personal Learning Edition and a special plug-in jointly developed by Epic and San Francisco-based Secret Level, Inc. This plug-in will allow dedicated game players/developers (MOD makers) to build and export game objects and characters to the game engine.
