Blizzard Bans 4,500 'World of Warcraft' Cheaters

In keeping with its aggressive stance against cheating in World of Warcraft, Blizzard have since patch 1.10 banned over 5400 accounts and suspended 10700 more for participating in activities that violate the game’s Terms of Use, including using third-party programs to farm gold and items. Such actions can severely impact the economy of a realm and the overall game enjoyment for all players.

Valve's SteamPowered website has been updated with details regarding the latest update to Earth 2160 (save game issue fixed) and Counter-Strike Source. This update adds HDR to de_dust, resizes crates, adds new GSG9 and Arctic player models, improves lag compensation, and a few other minor tweaks. Just restart Steam for the effects to take place.

'Heroes of Might and Magic V' Will Be Starforce Free!

It seems Starforce may be losing one of its biggest supporters, as Ubisoft announced today that Nival's upcoming RPG Heroes of Might & Magic V will not have the controversial, and much disliked, Starforce copy protection, instead Ubisoft opted to use "an alternative protection." If this means the longtime Starforce supporter is shying away from using it in general or just a one time experiment is not disclosed.

It has been a few years since we last heard from The Lost, an action/horror title putting the player against denizens of the underworld. Back in 2003, it was to be published by Crave and developed by Irrational Games, but Crave then decided to go value price only. A few days ago FXLAbs announced a comic book deal with Archie which uncovered The Lost as one of their projects in development (thanks Blues).
