EA announced today that it is lowering prices on its upcoming current generation PS2 and Xbox prices. This week Fight Night Round 3 is getting released, and should be in most retail stores by now, and gamers will only have to pay $39.99 for it, instead of the usual $49.99. But EA is not stopping with this one title, as also The Godfather and BLACK will be sold at that same price, a 20% reduction.

BFME 2 takes part in the North where a battle is raging between Sauron's forces vs. elves and dwarves. In a yet to be published interview with C&CG, Valve's designer/engineer Robin Walker reveals that it is already working on the second installment of its episodic series of Half-Life 2 expansions. This would also mean that Episode One is nearing completion, of which Walker also revealed it contains about 4-5 hours of gameplay. HL 2: Episode 1, previously known as HL 2: Aftermath is expected to be available through Steam on April 24th priced $19.99, with EA publishing a retail version shortly thereafter.
