Warner Bros. has set The Shield co-executive producer Kurt Sutter to write "Species X," a drama about a police detective who realizes he might be from another world. WB Interactive Entertainment will simultaneously develop a The Condemned: Criminal Origins sequel based on the concept. It is an unusual occurrence, since movies and vidgames usually cross-pollinate when one is a hit and the other is little more than an adaptation.

World Championship Poker 2 features a much more detailed one player game, where you now have to work your way up the ranks, starting in your mom's basement. EA announced today that the The Sims 2 has gone gold for the PS2, Xbox, GameCube, Nintendo DS, and the Game Boy Advance. These versions of the game will ship to store shelves on October 24, 2005, followed shortly by the Sims 2 for the PSP.
